Yoga brands like Lululemon, Athleta, and Prana may get all the name recognition and be highly valued in the fitness marketplace, but let’s face it, a lot of people can’t, or don’t want to, spend $80-$100 on a pair of yoga pants. And they should never feel like not having expensive pants is barrier to doing yoga. Not so long ago, loincloths (dhotis) and leotards were the norm. That said, baggy t-shirts and old running shorts from college don’t make for the best yoga experience. You want something that you feel comfortable in, that doesn’t need to be adjusted every time you do downward dog, and that won’t inadvertently flash your neighbor. You’ll find H&M’s yoga wear in their Bodymind department. This Swedish trend-driven retailer is well established in Europe and is expanding throughout the United States. They now have online shopping in the U.S. too. Your basic yoga tights, pants, sports bras and tanks are on offer, with many items under $20.
