The yoga clothing industry has produced a wealth of options for women’s yoga pants. Maybe too many options. To help you sift through the choices, here are some of the most popular brands and styles.

Personal favorite of this Yoga Guide for their flattering cut, vibrant colors, functionality, and wearability. The Mobility pant is cropped at mid calf and had slits up the side so you can easily check your alignment. The Agility (full-length) and Kona (knee-length) pants are pretty awesome too.

These are basic yoga leggings with a twist: you can cut them to your preferred length with worrying about ruining them thanks to three different sewn-in hems. You choose whether you want capris or a full-length pant. Pockets are always a plus in my book too.

I love the look of these cropped leggings with the unusual cut-outs. The fabric is quite thick and holds everything where it is supposed to be. I found the low waist got lower and lower as I practiced, so the fit is best suited to those with a small hip to waist ratio.

Lululemon‘s best-selling Groove Pant is a bootcut, full-length, stretchy pant with a dizzying array of different patterns decorating the waist band. This forgiving cut is low on the waist, fitted through the seat, and flared at the ankle. Many a yogini swears these reversible pants are the ones that make her butt look its best.

Hard Tail’s full length pants with the foldover waist band are extremely popular with tall, slender yoginis. These pants are tight in the seat and thigh, flared at the ankle, and run long. Hard Tail’s leggings and capris are also often spotted around the yoga studio.

Prana’s Vivi model has a relaxed leg and a wide waistband for a flattering fit. It also comes in full-length version, so if you love it, you’ll be able to wear it year-round. The fabric is quick drying and keeps its shape.

Great-fitting, long-wearing pants from activewear company Lucy are a yoga favorite. The Hatha Power Pant is a straight-legged cotton pant that looks good on a variety of body types. Lucy’s pants also come in three lengths (short, regular, and tall) to further guarantee a perfect fit.
